The Master Plan is a planning, engineering, and public participation process to identify, evaluate and prioritize improvements to the wastewater system. The process will result in a Facilities Plan and a Financial Plan that will guide development and implementation of a 30-year wastewater capital improvement program. No specific regulations are driving this current master plan, but the need for another comprehensive planning effort is pressing. This 2006 Master Plan is the fourth such long-range wastewater plan prepared by the City. Previous ones were completed in 1899, 1935, and 1974. Why is the current master plan necessary?
